Since 1981, Microdata has been active in the filter and microwave business.
In 1993, LGP Telecom AB was spun off focusing on the mobile telephony infrastructure market. LGP introduced a product portfolio with Tower Mounted Amplifiers (TMAs) for all mobile telephony bands and more or less set the current global industry standard for TMAs and filters for the rollout of cell sites all over the world.
In 2003, LGP and Allgon merged offering a wider product range combining one of the world’s best antenna programs with the excellence of LGP’s TMAs.
In 2004 Powerwave Technologies, a leading vendor of linear power amplifiers acquired the company.
Microdata has recruited several senior engineers that previously worked together at LGP and Allgon on development of TMAs and RF filters.
Now, a unique line of site solution products designed to customers’ specification for all mobile system bands are available and delivered globally.
In 2009, the new LTE product generation is populating the networks while broadband 3G are offering HSPA services. One thing is certain; the wireless communication market is ever growing. We specialize in understanding the market requirements, design, and the development of products for Telecom. Our roadmap includes innovative products that will multiply the capacity and service of both LTE and 3G/HSPA mobile applications.
We also enjoy a long experience from WiMAX networking.
With our expertise in site system design we are able to provide a solution for any site sharing or upgrade scenario.
Our focus area is RF-filter based solutions including combiners, multi band TMAs, di-, tri- and quadraplexers. The product portfolio supports all frequencies for mobile communication bands ranging from 450 MHz to 6 GHz.
Site and network sharing makes it cost efficient to reach sparsely populated areas where new subscribers can contribute to revenue.
